Netflix's 13 Reasons Why is almost at the finish line. On Monday the streamer revealed that its hit teen series will premiere its fourth and final season on June 5
bringing the once-polarizing drama to a close. Netflix made the announcement by sharing a teaser video of the cast during the show's final table read
an emotional
tear-filled event.

Season four of the series
created by Brian Yorkey
will revolve around the Liberty High School seniors as they get ready to graduate
all while holding on to a dark
buried secret. Season three
which had a plicated moral message
revolved around the death of Bryce (Justin Prentice)
the high school bully who raped Hannah in season one.

which generated heaps of controversy after showing its main character

dying by suicide.
The scene was extremely explicit and instantly raised concerns about copycat suicides—causing many to ask why Netflix didn't put some sort of viewer advisory warning at the top of the episode. (One was added after the series premiered.)
Two years after the show was first released
Yorkey and Netflix ultimately decided to edit the episode and remove the graphic death scene altogether.
