马修·史蒂芬·沃德，艺名M. Ward， 是来自美国的歌手和吉他手，也是美国独立流行乐队 She & Him 和民谣乐队 Monsters of Folk 的主要成员。沃德最喜爱的歌曲是“Amazing Grace” （中文翻译为《奇异恩典》，也有人称《天赐恩宠》）。他的赞助商是Gibson Guitars ,他使用的吉他就是该公司出产的Johnny A。 他的父亲很喜欢Johnny Cash，母亲则是个古典音乐爱好者，因此他在成长过程中受乡村音乐和古典音乐的影响比较大。

人物生平

1999年，他的首个专辑 Duet for Guitars #2, 由 Howe Gelb出品。01年他发行了自己的专辑End of Amnesia，出品方是Future Farmer Records。他参与过许多乐队专辑和单曲的录制，编曲，如Cat Power, Neko Case, Beth Orton, The Court & Spark, Bright Eyes, Jenny Lewis , and My Morning Jacket. 2005年，他参与了Burtch, Lytle 和 Fairchild 组织的一个项目 Arizona Amp and Alternator。 2006年，参与制作了向 John Fahey 致敬的专辑 I Am the Resurrection，还贡献了一首单曲，Norah Jones的专辑 Not Too Late 里也有他的声音。纽西兰电影 Eagle vs Shark 还收录了他翻唱的 David Bowie的歌曲 "Let's Dance" 作为插曲。 SHE & HIM 06年他出版了专辑 Post-War，初次遇见女演员 Zooey Deschanel, 并合作了一首二重唱。后来他们组建了INDIE POP乐队：She & Him 。他们的首张专辑取名为 Volume One， 由沃德担任制作人，Merge Records 出品，发行于2008年3月18日。之后他们还陆续出版了Volume Two 和一张圣诞专辑，在业内反响都不错。他和Deschanel担任了第九届独立音乐奖的评审 Independent Music Awards.2009年，他还发行了自己第六张个人专辑 Hold Time。 SHE & HIM 在表演中 沃德还曾是乐队 Rodriguez 的一员，他们的作品有wing Like a Metronome。他的另一个乐队 Monsters of Folk, 也出版了同名专辑。 Monsters of Folk
