我作为一名中学生，持“赞成”票，原因有以下几点：1. 英语分数的与 语文、数学一起 占据着150分，这样多数学生不得不（包括我在内）花费很多时间 接受辅导、在加上做题时间，学生很疲惫，最要命的是，参加辅导班多数时候不是在 练习说，而是在做题（除了提高考试分数，几乎没用）；2. 作为一个人最重要的交流工具 就是“语言”，其中最基础的应该首先是自己的母语，应该把母语学好，在此基础上才能谈 外语，因此我们应该在基础教育阶段，先把自己的母语学好，尤其是 听说读写能力应该掌握得非常扎实才行；3. 国家把英语分数降低，并不说明英语不重要，而是英语应该向 “实用性”方向转变。现在人们重视的不是英语的“工具”功能，而仅仅是考试分数，这个是错误的。我认为国家这么做，就是让人们清醒，让人们注意语言的“工具性”功能，不要过分地强调（而且是错误的强调）考试分数；4. 学习语言应该是 先了解外国文化的基础上（或在学习期间并行），首先要过语音关。而在中国的英语教学中，这个几乎是 忽略的。连发音都不正确，或不熟练，那么能算学习了一门语言吗？！基于以上几点原因，以降低考试分数的方式来告诫人们正确的道理 应该算是 很明智的“决定“。
