Who Deserves Help?
Many years ago, there lived a very rich man who wanted to do something for the people of his town. But first he wanted to find out whether they deserved his help. So he placed a very large stone in the center of the main road into town. Then he hid behind a tree and waited. Soon an old man came along with his cow.
"Who put this stone in the center of the road?" said the old man, but he did not try to remove the stone. Instead, with some difficulty he passed around the stone and continued on his way. Another man came along and did the same thing; then another came, and another. All of them plained about the stone in the center of the road, but not one of them tried to remove it. Late in the afternoon, a young man came along. He saw the stone and said, "The night will be very dark. Some neighbor will e along later in the dark and will fall against the stone. "
The young man then began to move the stone. He pushed and pulled with all his strength to move it to one side. But imagine his surprise when under the stone he found a bag full of money and this message: "This money is for the thoughtful person who removes this stone from the road. That person deserves help."

黄帝王朝开始只是一个部落来的，在黄河流域，与其同时存在的本来还有一万个以上的大大小小的部落，部落就是一群有血缘关系的人聚在一起，共同抵御生存的风险，因为那个时候环境恶劣，你要彻底单身就恐怕活不了多久，所以要群居。部落之间总会有冲突的，大家都不是文明人，为了地块和食物，当然要靠拳头来说话。打着打着，所谓分久合，合久分，渐渐地就出现了几个比较大的部落，形成了寡头垄断的局面。再后来，有个叫有熊部落的把其他大部落都打败了，它的领导人——一个叫姬轩辕的男人（名字好怪，古人名字都好怪的，不象我们现在什么伦呀，什么春呀的，叫得很顺口，骂起来也方便。）就成名了，谁都怕他了，他就是大爷了，被尊称为黄帝了。接着他建立了黄帝王朝，还选了个首都，凭借自己的威信开始主持社会秩序拉，就象现在的美国一样，阿，我是老大，我最牛b，你们要听我的呀，不要互斗阿。单极化也是有点好处的，超级警察嘛，只要他是正义的化身那就还不错，不是就麻烦了。
黄帝王朝算是我们的第一次统一吧，不过这个统一是比较松散的，远没有象我们今天这么严密的政府架构和组织，也没有我们这么大的一块地盘，就是在中原黄河边上没有多大的一小块地方，围绕着它还有不少的一些部落。姬轩辕是伟大的，因为今天我们都乐意说自己是黄帝的子孙，血缘的认同从这个时候就开始了。
黄帝之后的接班人是怎么诞生的呢？不是搞选举呀，有时候是子继父业，有时候是侄子来继承，但是还是和血缘相关。传着传着传到了一个叫伊祁放勋的人手里（这名字更怪，但别误会，他不是日本人，那个时候日本岛恐怕还没有人，只有野兽出没），他呢，本身也是一个叫唐的部落的领导，现在升官拉，做大帝了，也就是我们非常熟悉的尧帝。据说他是个好心肠的人，好心肠的人能当这么大官，现在比少见拉。尧帝在位时洪灾比较严重，他自己没什么好办法，幸好他手下有个叫姒文命的人比较有治水的能耐，帮了他不少忙，不然他可能就要下台了。尧帝去世后，传位给了他的女婿姚重华，后被称为是舜帝。后来人称赞这是第一次禅让，就是根据才能来选接班人，而不是血缘，那到底是不是我们就不知道拉，不过舜帝还是有不少功劳的，搞了不少改革，定了不少制度。
舜帝之后，搞了第二次禅让，让治水功劳很大的姒文命做了接班人。历史上可以称道的禅让就是这两次拉，以后的非血缘关系的接班往往就被看作是篡位了，在封建社会是不允许的。姒文命接班之后，就改了国号，不叫黄帝王朝了，改叫夏王朝，把首都也换了地方。他就是我们都很熟悉的禹帝。禹帝也是有作为的人，但是在位时间不长。由他开启的夏王朝不再搞禅让了，恢复了很早以前的父子相传的制度。以上就是尧舜禹的故事。

The Man Who Faked His Music

Seeing the desolate and bleak prospects of broken tiles, collapsed walls, and clusters of weeds, he could not help asking the local people about the reason of the ruin of Guo Shi.
They replied,"Guo Shi was fond of doing good deeds, and averse to evildoing, which led to the perdition."
When the Duke could not understand the answer, people explained ," Though he liked doing good, he had never been able to do so; though he hated evildoing, never could he help not participating. That caused the ruin of his capital."

The bull charged the wall furiously again and again, but although he bruised his head and chipped his horns, the mouse stayed safely inside his hole. After a time the bull gave up and sank down to rest again.
As soon as the bull was asleep, the little mouse crept to the mouth of the hole, pattered across the yard, bit the bull again -- this time on the nose -- and rushed back to safety. As the bull roared helplessly the mouse squeaked:
