（Bloomfield, Maurice; 1855～1928）美国（德国裔）之印度学学者。西元一八八一至一九二六年间，于琼斯荷琴兹大学（Johns Hopkins）教授梵语与印欧比较语言学。对吠陀文献学之研究，具有丰硕成果，并发表于世。重要著作有：Hymns of the Atharva Veda, 1897; The Kashmirian（School of the Paippaldas）Atharvaveda, 3 vols., 1901（与 Garbe 合著）；Vedic Concordance, 1906; Atharvaveda and the Gopatha Brāhmana; Rig-veda Repetitions, 2 vols., 1916; Vedic Variants, 1931～1934（与 Edgerton 合著）。 p1903
