Once

曾经
a middle aged man took his eighty years old father to the park.
有一个中年男人带着他八十高龄的老父亲去逛公园
His father used a stick for walking.
他的父亲拄着柺杖
While the old man stepped out from the car

当这位老人从车里下来的时候
his stick fell down

他的柺杖坠落在地
and he lost his balance.
他失去了平衡
But

但是，
immediately before falling

就在他摔倒前一刹那
his son gripped his hand tightly

他的儿子紧紧握住了他的手
and saved him.
救了他
The old man smiled at his son gratefully.
老人感激的冲儿子微笑
The son said

儿子说道
'Papa put that stick aside.
爸爸，把柺棍收起来吧
I will support you for walking.'
我来扶着你走
Holding his son's hand

牵着儿子的手
the old man walked slowly.
老人慢慢走着
They sat on a bench.
他们在长椅上坐下
The old man taking a deep breath said

老人深呼吸，然后说道
'You know what?
你知道吗
This is life!'
这就是生活！
The son amusingly asked

儿子觉得十分有趣，问道
'What do you mean
papa?'
你是什么意思，爸爸？
The man said

老人说道
'Look!
你瞧
Once

曾经
when you were a kid

你还是个孩子的时候
I was holding your hand
我牵着你的手
to support you for walking.
带着你走路
Now

现在
you are holding my hand to support me!
轮到你牵着我的手，带我走路
Years ago

多少年前
you were identified as my son

你是我的儿子，受到我的照顾
now I am under your care!
现在，我要受你照顾了
This is what the game of life!'
这就是生命的游戏
The man smiled at his dad's ments.
男人听着父亲的谈论露出微笑
Very fondly
十分欣然的
he put his dad's thin skinned hand on his own

他把父亲枯瘦的手放到自己手中
and stroked it softly.
轻轻拍着
He said

他说
'Nothing new papa!
这有什么稀奇的，爸爸
Let us enjoy the life

我们就该享受这样的生活
the way it runs!
享受它运转的方式
We all are passing through the phases of life.
我们都会经历生活的各个阶段
So nothing new

所以，这没什么新奇的
nothing to worry!'
你不必担心

son?
儿子，你知道吗
What is the funniest part of life?'
生活中最有趣的部分是什么
'What?!'
是什么？
mischievously the son questioned his dad.
儿子逗趣的问父亲
The old man triumphantly replied

老人自豪的回答道
'We all want to be 'young' forever!
我们都希望永远年轻，
Ageless!'
长命百岁！
Obviously
可是，显然
the son's perception of 'ageless' was different from his father.
儿子对“长命百岁”这个词的看法与父亲不同
Out of curiosity he asked

他出于好奇问道
'Why
papa?'
“为什么，爸爸？”
'Ha
you know why!
哈哈，你知道为什么！
Young age is always full of excitement

青春总是充满了兴奋
thrilling
and phenomenal!
刺激，了不起的事
When you are a child

而孩童时期
it is carefree life.
则是无忧无虑
No stress
no liabilities
nothing.
没有压力，没有责任，什么都没有
Friends
gossips
games

只有伙伴，闲言碎语，游戏
everything is so enjoyable

每件事都那么富有乐趣
that never happens again when you catch ages.
随着年岁增长，这些都会一去不返
His son laughed aloud

他儿子大笑起来
said

说到
'Papa
are you still roaming around
in your time?
爸爸，你还在过去的时间里徘徊不前吗
We are not exempted a single day without stress

其实，我们没有一天能毫无压力
and struggling for survival.
每天我们都在为活着挣扎

we have to manage.
然而，我们不得不战胜这些

don't think too much.'

you have gone through all the phases of life

你已经经历过了生活的所有阶段

you are haunted by the golden time of 'childhood'

“童年”的黄金岁月困扰着你
if there would be no growth of period

但如果人在各个阶段没有长进
how could you pare the childhood as remarkable?!
你又怎么会觉得童年弥足珍惜呢
As you said papa

爸爸，正像你说的
'This is the game of life!'
这就是生命的游戏！

再一次
the old man waggled his head.
老人摇起了头
'Oh
yes! You are right!
是的，你是对的！
There is a huge difference beeen now and then!'
现在与过去的差别多么大呀！
