什么是the rest is history?  

所指的是真实发生的历史事件。

the rest is history虽然说的情况可能都是过去的事大家都知道了，但其实用法和意思跟历史(发生了的事)无关，这英语片语意思是"人所阶知的"。

例如：

He created Apple in 1976, the rest is history.

这句不用说明/写出He是谁，亦不是想说明你对Apple的历史的认识，意思：

他在1976年创立了"苹果"，今天(的成就)无人不知晓。
